What kind of person am I becoming?

Our sermon this week was partly about blessing, transformation and becoming. The pastor talked about the Ted Williams story -the homeless man -who has another chance. His chance is because of his God-given gift of voice and the random (I don’t think it’s random) meeting of Ted and a reporter.

It makes me think about my gifts.

What are they? What am I doing with them? Am I doing what I’m supposed to do? Do I need someone to step in and redirect me? Or do I need someone to affirm that I am in fact, doing the right things?

Psalm 1 is the Scripture for the sermon and my favorite part is verse 3 where it says that we are a tree, ROOTED and fruitful and prosperous. Rooted in the Word daily (our water of life) and fruitful so others see our walk, and prosperous so we bless others (not so we can have it all).

Have a great day, and get out of your own way. BE who you were created to be, it’s so much easier than fighting it all the time.
